Gourmet Meals
Everything served at LN is prepared mainly with fresh ingredients from our organic farm and/or neighboring gardens. For that reason the menu changes day to day. We emphasize vegetarian/vegan friendly options.
To prepare your meals we'll ask you to complete a Dietary Requests form before your stay and give us 48 Hours notice.
Sunset Wine and Tapas Guests staying three nights or more receive a complimentary Tapas evening . We will serve you wine or a nonalcoholic cocktail with a generous selection of hors d'oevres. For shorter stays, contact us for availability at an extra charge of $25/person
Dinner at Las Nubes
A luxurious, private evening in the Sala enjoying the sunset by the pool. On cooler evenings, snuggle in by the fireplace before and after your meal. Your private chef will serve wine or a nonalcoholic cocktail, tapas, soup and artisanal bread, salad, entree and sides designed especially for you, dessert, coffee/tea $65/person
Wood fired Pizza Oven Night
Traditional wheat crust pizza with a variety of vegetable toppings and a mix of cheeses, a hearty salad, wine, beer or. a nonalcoholic beverage. Served in the Sala or at the outside platform; both with spectacular views to the sunset. One person $50 Two persons $80

Afternoon or Morning Coffee/Tea
Our single origin, organic coffee harvested here on the property, a variety of teas, artisanal pastries from neighboring bakeries and from the LN kitchen, fresh seasonal fruit. Served in a High Tea fashion at 10:00 am or 4:00 pm in the LN Sala. $35/person

Nature Walk throughout the five acre property
A leisurely walk with the owners or the caretaker in English or Spanish, to explore the flora and fauna of Las Nubes. Coffee plantations. Hundreds of varieties of fruit and hardwood trees, flowers and vegetables, insects, amphibians and mammals. Pick your own coffee beans (seasonal) dry, hull, winnow,
roast, grind, and drink .

but honestly, nothing compares with the always temperate and comfortable climate at Las Nubes!!

A mix of rain and sun. Dramatic cloud formations. New generation of birds: gorrion, toucan, colibrí among others. 65-85 degrees.
September - October
More rain each day. Clouds engulf the property for awhile in the afternoon. Dramatic thunder and lightning. Chimney fire in the Sala.
Low Season for tourists: wildlife loves it. Green, green, green.

Rain each day but not all day. No wind. 65-75. Monkeys are active.
Full flower coverage. Greenest, lushest month of the year.

More details before you stay with us...
Security
For all of our security we have two automatic property gates. You will receive your own remote. Our caretaker and his family live on the edge of the property and Bobi, our friendly guard dog patrols at night. Though close to our neighbors in Jesus, Barroeta and Alto de Monte, Las Nubes is a large private gated property. Please do not share the gate code or keys with anyone. Please notify the owners if you are bringing someone onto the property for any reason.
Technology
High speed wifi service is available in all the Villas. Alexa is available on Echo Dots in all villas and at the pool.
For guests renting the whole property, the Samsung Frame TV in the Sala has Netflix and Amazon Prime.
There is no cable TV.
Nature & Critters
Las Nubes is a a living space we share with alot of creatures. We are a bit of jungle in the cloud forest. With the change of seasons comes the change of flying critters. Most windows are screened… but so as not to obstruct the views, windows in the Sala at Las Nubes and some others are screenless. Guests should take this into account, especially at night. At dusk it is wise to shut the glass windows if it is a flying insect season and always turn all lights out when leaving a room or building. There are crawly neighbors as well. When you leave your villa, shut the door. Ants love almost everything on the property. Please do not leave any food or food evidence (bags, dirty napkins, unrinsed dishes) when you leave your villa. They will eventually find it and come Please do not kill the geckos. They are harmless. In May we have  flying June beetles. They aren't cockroaches :)
Visitors
On site parties and additional overnight guests are prohibited. For all our security, please notify us if you wish to bring anyone on property.
Accessibility
While Villas Cumulus and Cirrus are very accessible to disabled guests, traversing the complete property and moving between villas/Sala/pool may be a challenge. Please consult the photos and message us if you have any questions.
Young Guests
There are inherent dangers staying in an open, natural environment such as Las Nubes and there is the chance that young, immature persons (like children tend to be) will fall or hurt themselves. For this reason, the age limit for guests at Las Nubes is over 10 years. If you think your group is an exception, you are welcome to contact us.
